The Bika Football and Netball Committee (BIFONEC) has this evening revealed the prize money for the winners of the Bika Bya’Baganda Football and Netball finals at Bulange Mengo.

This year’s finals will be played on Saturday 11th March 2023 at Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku.

Ndiga and Lugave clans will face off in the men football final whilst, Mamba Gabunga and Ngeye pair up in netball.

The winner in the football final between Ndiga and Lugave will smile away with nine million Uganda Shillings (UGX. 9,000,000) as first runners take home seven million shillings (UGX. 7,000,000).

The winner of a third play off between Kkobe and Ffumbe is to pocket five million shillings  (UGX 5,000,000) and the fourth moves away with three million shillings (UGX. 3,000,000).

In Netball, this edition’s champions will receive seven million shillings (UGX. 7,000,000) and runners up five million shillings (UGX. 5,000,000).

Lugave and Nnyonyi Nyange will play in the third play off in Netball and three million shillings (UGX. 3,000,000) and one million  (UGX. 1,000,000) awaits the third and fourth respectively.

During the meeting, Hajji Sulaiman Magala the chairman BIFONEC appreciated the clans for being patient despite playing the semi-final long ago.

“We are so appreciative to all clan that have been patient and waited this long. We expect a lot and we promise to organize  memorable finals so come in numbers to witness the games.”

Dr. Sarah Nkonge (Vice chairperson), Mansoor Kabugo ( Technical director) and Gerald Katamba ( Secretary were in attendance.
