Title favorites St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana, defending champions St. Mary’s – Kitende, Buddo SS, Nabisunsa, Kibuli, Mbogo, Nalya and two others are into the quarter-final stage at the ongoing Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Fresh Dairy Games girls basketball.

National and Federation of East African Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) reigning champions Kitende beat Nyakasura School 67-13 in the round of 16 to reach the last eight stage.

Mariam Namukwaya posted the most points (12) for Kitende in the knockout tie against the Fortportal side.

Whilst Amrat Kyalimpa rebounds fetched most rebounds (9) as Kitende sailed to quarter-finals.

St. Mary’s – Kitende will face Seroma Christian High School in the quarter-finals.

This year’s title favorites St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana eliminated Immaculate Heart in an emphatic 45-05 win in the round of 16.

Resty Namugerwa fetched the most points (16) and 12 rebounds to guide Wakiso Region champions (St. Noa) to victory.

They face Kibuli SS in a highly anticipated mouthwatering quarter-final.

Kibuli SS knocked out Tororo Girls by 34-25.

The two sides were in the same pool and St. Noa won the contest by five baskets in a 29-19 win.

Buddo SS won 45-21 against hosts Ndejje SS to book a quarter-final with Mbogo Mixed date in the first quarter-final duel.

The two sides met in group B and Buddo SS emerged winners. The game ended 18-10 in favor of Buddo.

To reach quarter-finals, Mbogo beat by a difference of one basket against Janan School in a slim 30-28 win.

Nabisunsa Girls beat Mvara 27-18 to reach quarter-finals. The SUNSAS will battle Nalya SS in the quarter-finals.

Nalya eliminated Jinja SS with a 36-24 win in the round of 16.
