World Athletics: Cheptegei, Kissa yet in Camp as Team Uganda gets Ready for Tomorrow’s Show
Team Uganda has had a road warm up training session at the Baltic City of Gdynia in Poland ahead of tomorrow’s races at the World half Marathon Championship.
Joshua Cheptegei and Steven Kissa were not in camp by the time this piece was released but expected in the camp very soon.
On Wednesday, the 14th October 2020 National Council of Sport (NCS) Chairman Dr. Donald Rukare flagged off Team Uganda-Athletics to the World Half Marathon scheduled for tomorrow, the 17th October 2020 in Poland.
Jacob Kiplimo, Moses Kibet and Abel Chebet are to be joined by Joshua Cheptegei and Stephen Kissa who already left the land before to make the Men’s team.
The women’s team comprises of Juliet Chekwel, Doreen Chemutai, Doreen Chesang, and Rachael Zena Chebet.
Government through National Council of Sports provided full travel facilitation for Team Uganda to Gdynia Poland.
In the recent past, the Uganda flag has flown so high as teenager Jacob Kiplimo and Joshua Cheptegei sparked to win a couple of Gold medals and setting up new records on numerous occasions.
