SUPL: Ibrahim Nsimbe fires a hat-trick as MYDA sink Busoga United

Ibrahim Nsimbe scored a hat-trick as MYDA beat Busoga United 3-0 in the Startimes Uganda Premier League match day twenty four on Friday 14th May 2021 at King George Stadium in Tororo.

Nsimbe’s first goal came quickly in the 20th minutes to put his side (MYDA FC) into a 1-0 lead.

In the 28th minutes, Sharif Kimbowa of Busoga United failed to convert a penalty which was a great moment for the visitors Busoga to level and bounce back into the game.

Shortly after the failed penalty, Busoga United had another golden chance through Ssozi with a well taken shot. However, goalie Andrew Ssekandi was spot on to deny him.

Ibrahim Nsimbe scored MYDA’s second in the added minutes heading to halftime to give his side a comfortable 2-0 lead in the first stanza.

After the resumption of the final half, Busoga looked too hungry for goals, however, their hunger was silenced by the 62nd minutes goal by Nsimbe Ibrahim.

The show man Nsimbe Ibrahim, had a chance to score the fourth goal for the club and himself, but he narrowly missed.

As the game grew, Busoga United employed a possessive tactic, keeping the ball on them to control damage.

This was the second meeting between the two sides as all registered a win against the other. Busoga won the first round game 1-0 thanks to a Ssaka Ssozi strike.
The win pushed MYDA to 14 points to consolidate the 15th place, four off Kitara in the 16th position, whilst Busoga sit 13th with 26 points.
