Uganda Premier League table leaders KCCA FC thumped Kataka FC 3-0 to storm round of 16 stage in the ongoing Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Kataka was humbled before it’s loyal fans at Mbale Municipal stadium on Monday evening.

Magician Allan Okello, Tshingu Kakonde and Rogers Mato scored a goal each as KCCA sailed to the next round.

The day’s team captain Allan Okello sent visitors into a 1-0 lead with a close range tap in past goalie Kasibante, 36 minutes into the game.

Congolese import Tshingu Kakonde slotted home the second just five minutes after his introduction onto the pitch finishing Charles Lwanga’s move to make it 2-0 in 63rd minute.

Deep into the game, Rogers Mato converted from the spot to seal KCCA FC’s 3-0 win on road to Mbale.

KCCA FC became the seventh  Uganda premier league qualified to the round of 16 joining Express FC, Onduparaka, BUL FC, Vipers SC, Wakiso Giants and Solito Bright stars.

The other teams who advanced to the round of 16 include six big league teams in Adjuman T/C, Police FC, Ndejje University, Calvary, Kitara and Mbarara City.

Bunyaruguru, Kayinda Boys and Kisugu United are the only regional league outfits at the round of 16.
