Tension: Who qualifies as Buddo, Kitende, STAHIZA five others hit quarter-final stage in Wakiso Qualifiers

Wakiso Region defending champions Buddo Secondary School will be against London College Nansana in the quarter-final stage of the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) National boys football tournament qualifiers.

Buddo SS led Group A with 19 points after winning six and drew once. Andy Mwesigwa was second in the group with 17 points.

Last year’s runners up Mary’s Boarding School Kitende who led group D with maximum 21 points in seven games shall take on Kakungulu High school who is at this stage as group C runners up behind Standard High Zana.

Standard High Zana finished on top of group C following the withdraw of leaders Light High School Sseguku.

STAHIZA will face Greenlight Islamic Secondary School who finished behind St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende in group D.

In the other quarter-final, Kyadondo SS is against Andy Mwesigwa  who finished second in group A.

The Quarter-finals and semi shall be held on Saturday 13th  April at Wakiso Muslims and Emirates College Nkoowe.

The Wakiso Championship has attracted more and serious tension causing a number of petitions.

In group C has been a center of petition with Devine College getting disqualified from the championship over a petition filed by Madina Islamic and later Madina Islamic got petitioned by St Jonah.

Out of the 8 teams in the group three teams in Devine College, Madina Islamic disqualified while Light High School Sseguku withdrew from to he competition creating a room for Kakungulu High school to continue their participation in this year’s Wakiso Championship.
