PRE-MINI CHAN TOURNEY: Ssekajugo, Mukwala on Target as Uganda Defeats Zambia

Vianne Sekajugo and Steven Mukwala scored the two important goals as Uganda Cranes dominated Zambia to win 2-0 in their second match of the Pre CHAN Mini Tournament at Annex 1-Omnisports- in Yaounde, Cameroon on Monday, 5th January 2021.

Ssekajugo sent Uganda into the lead after only 25 minutes to ensure a 1-0 first stanza lead for Uganda before Mukwala sealed the victory with the second in 60th minute.

This game reunited Zambia’s tactician Micho and his former bosses. Micho took Uganda back to AFCON Finals after 39 years of waiting before he opted for greener pastures in South Africa.

Uganda has now accumulated four points after drawing 1-1 with Cameroon in the opening match. Cranes will return to action on Thursday 7th January 2021 against Niger.

In the first game, Zambia drew 3-3 against Niger on Saturday, whilst the Uganda Cranes played to a 1-1 draw with hosts Cameroon.
