Official: Kitara FC mutually parts ways with tactician Mark Twinamasiko

Just a day after Sam Ssimbwa secured his first victory at Kitara FC, the Hoima based side have confirmed partying ways with former head coach Mark Twinamasiko on mutual consent.

The current FUFA Big table leaders confirmed the development through an official statement released on Friday 4th March.

“Kitara Football Club announces that it reached a mutual agreement with coach Mark Twinamasiko to terminate his working contract.”

“We appreciate the services he rendered the club and wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

The same statement confirmed Sam Ssimbwa Ssimbwa as the head coach and George William Lutalo as his assistant.

“Henceforth Mr Sam Simbwa Bamweyana is our Head coach and he is deputised by Mr. George William Lutalo.”

“We urge all our fans and well wishers to accord them the necessary support.”

Since Twinamasiko’s suspension, the club announced Sam Simbwa Bamweyana as his immediate replacement.

However, it’s been hard time for the former URA FC tactician who got off the pressure with his first win in many games in a 1-0 win against Lugazi yesterday.

Background of the saga.

A month back, Kitara Football Club announced the suspension of their head coach Mark Twinamasiko for two months with immediate effect.

“The Kitara Club management has with immediate effect suspended head coach Mark Twinamasiko for two months until 23rd March due to internal reasons” , shortly read part of the statement on his suspension.

It should be understood that, despite his good results and winning run that saw him finish the first round with 31 points in 15 games to top the log, Mark Twinamasiko lost his dressing room when he went to war with his assistant Richard Makumbi.

The split led the two divide players. In the process, Twinamasiko only took charge of home games as Makumbi coached away.

Kitara FC tops the table with 37 points and will next play NEC FC on Thursday 9th March at Bugolobi Coffee grounds
