FUFA has confirmed the postponing of the Super 8 fixture between URA FC and KCCA which was supposed to be played on Sunday 20th at MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo.

The reason for the postponing is to give URA time to mourn the sudden death of their head coach Sam Timbe who passed away on his way to Nakasero Hospital.

“FUFA Competitions Department has postponed the FUFA Super 8 semifinal match between KCCA FC and URA FC that was scheduled for Sunday, 20th August 2023.”

“The decision has been made to allow URA FC and the entire football fraternity honour and pay their last respects to coach Sam Timbe who passed on today afternoon.”

“A new date on which the game will be played shall be confirmed later.”

“We continue to send our commiserations to the family, friends, URA FC and the football fratery at large.”

URA FC defeated Soltilo Bright Stars 2-1 to progress to the semi finals of the Super 8.
