Finally The Cranes Confirmed To Travel Tonight

Eight foreign based Uganda Cranes players have arrived in Dubai for a training camp.

Farouk Miya, Bevis Mugabi Jayden Onen, Elvis Bwomono, Joseph Ochaya, Nicholas Wadada, Allan Kyambadde and Jamal Salim are the foreign based players to reach Dubai camp.

Forward Derrick Nsibambi pulled out due to injury and FUFA confirms there will be no replacement for him.

The eight will be joined by a team of locally based players who are finally confirmed leave the country tonight for the camp after clearance with the required documents.

The local based Uganda Cranes players will fly out tonight and expected to join the camp very soon”, FUFA confirmed.

The team was initially scheduled to travel last Sunday but were stalled due to delayed processing of the required travel entry documents to Dubai.

Uganda Cranes is preparing for a double header in the AFCON qualifiers against South Sudan on the 9th November at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende and the return leg on 17th at a venue yet to be announced.

Uganda’s next encounter will come on the 22nd March 2021 against Bukina Faso.

Uganda is currently leading group B with four (4) points in two games.
