Challengers stopped Wanderers winning streak with a comprehensive 128 runs win.

On a flat deck at the Lugogo Cricket Oval Zephaniah Arinaitwe (129) made Wanderers pay for dropped chances given on 85 and 99 as Challengers posted a big 294 for Wanderers.

It was difficult day in the field for the table toppers who put down a number of chances in the baking hot sun. Davis Karashani 4/41 was the pick of the bowlers for Wanderers.

Wanderers got off a good start in the chase but a middle order collapse derailed the chase with only Davis Karashani (52) playing a lone hand for Wanderers.

They folded for 165 runs inside 36 overs as Challengers picked up their second win of the tournament.

Zephaniah Arinaitwe’s century was the second for Challengers this season after Frank Akankwasa got one against SKLPS previously.

In Kyambogo, ACC and SKLPS played a thriller as the battle to stay up gets intense.

ACC managed only 177 with contributions throughout the whole team and their slower bowlers David Mwesigwa (2/29), Simon Oketcho (3/9) and Narinder Singh (3/19) made sure of the result as SKLPS fell short by 33 runs.

The win was very important for ACC as they fight to stay up as for SKLPS runs out of games to save their season as they have not lost 3 in 3 so far.

In Entebbe, Aziz Damani Development 2 picked up their 1st win of the season with a big 113 runs win over Northern Knights from Gulu.

Northern Knights made the long trip from Gulu to play at the Lakeside Oval which is a big effort for a team that has to travel from that far.

Damani Development 2 had team contributions for their 202. In reply NKCC had no chance against the youngsters as they were bundled out for only 89.

Despite Aziz Damani Development 2 taking the match points, Northern Knights who made the long trip after doubts were raised about their participation over the cost of weekend travel for them were in the other way round victorious.
