A delegation of 40, players and officials set to fly to United Arab Emirates (Dubai) on Sunday 04th October 2020, 5PM to be specific.

The contingent that is going to spend 10 days in Dubai Camp as Cranes prepare for 2021 AFCON qualifiers and the 2020 (to be held 2021) CHAN finals games will aboard Emirates Air.

The delegation Uganda Cranes tactician Johnathan McKinstry has 26 players and 14 officials and FUFA Executive Member, Ronnie Kalema going as the leader of delegation.

“A number of players were unfortunately ruled out from consideration for the training camp due to Covid-19 travel restrictions applicable to them, or through injury. However the camp presents a great opportunity for a large quota of the foreign based players alongside the best players in the Uganda premier league to prepare for upcoming AFCON and CHAN engagements.” McKinstry told FUFA media.

All the local based players selected for the trip tested negative for COVID-19 as well as the officials.

Uganda is to meet South Sudan in November in AFCON qualifier doubleheader.
