CCL Preliminary Draws: Vipers SC To Face Sudan’s Giants

The 2019/20 Uganda Premier League champions, Vipers Sports Club drawn against Sudan’s Al Hilal Omdurman in the CAF Champions league, preliminary round two.

The tie was confirmed today, Monday, November, 2020 in Cairo Egypt when the African Football governing body Confederation of African Football held the preliminary and last 32 draws of Champions and Confederations Cup.

Between the 27th and 29th days of November 2020, the two sides will meet for first round encounter before the return leg scheduled for between 4th and 6th December, the same year.

The aggregate winner between Salim Jamal’s Al Hilal and Uganda’s Vipers will qualify to first round stage off-the-wall competition.

Fred Kajoba’s coached side, Vipers is targeting to join KCCA’s league, the only side that has qualified to CAF Champions league tourney group stages of the modern era.

In 2016, they lost 2-1 on aggregate to Enyimba before they fell to CS Constantine 3-0 on aggregate, one round shy of the group stage in the 2018-2019 CAF Champions League campaign
