JUST IN! FEASSA approves Bukedea and Amus College School to host 2024 Games
The Federation of East Africa School Sports Association( FEASSA) has approved Bukedea Comprehensive School and Amus College School to host 2024 FEASSA games.
The development comes after the co-hosts schools satisfying the minimum requirements needed to host these games which are due next month.
The East African biggest schools sports event (FEASSA Games will run from 16th to 24th August in Bukedea, Mbale City.
With under a month to the kick-off of this year’s edition, Eastern Uganda hosted the FEASSA delegation on a mission to conduct final inspections.
The delegation comprising of officials from Uganda (hosts), Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Zanzibar spent close to two days in the land of the Bamasaba (Mbale) and Bukedea to assess the readiness of over 17 competition venues (mainly).
During the plenary that sat last night, the FEASSA executive was impressed by the progress of the works at the two schools to give a Greenlight to the their hosting rights.
Mbale being a neighbor city to Bukedea, there is assurance of alternative grounds in University and other tertiary institutions in case the weather doesn’t favor the facilities which we have agreed on.
The final inspection to the venues was held on Saturday Sunday the 20th and 21st July.
