AFCON 2022 Qualifiers: Uganda Cranes jets off to Malawi

The Uganda Cranes Contingent has on Sunday morning left the country aboard Uganda Airlines Chartered flight to Blantyre for the final and decisive AFCON Qualifier against Malawi to be played on Monday 29th March 2021.

Uganda enter Monday’s game targeting either a win or a draw if they are to qualify for the 2020 Africa Cup of Nations.

Cranes had a chance to seal it with a game at hand but they played to a goalless draw with Burkina Faso on Wednesday at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende.

Should Uganda lose against Malawi, it will mean that they will not be able to make it to the third consecutive AFCON tournament.

Cranes will conduct a training session on Sunday evening at Kamuzu Stadium ahead of Monday’s game that will take place at the same venue.

The 23 man Squad that was named by the head coach Abdallah Mubiru and travelled today include;
