UYFA AGM: Budget passed, 20 academies approved, 19 dismissed

Uganda Youth Football Associations (UYFA) passed a UGX. 215,150,000 Budget for the financial year 2023/24.

This was during their Annual General Assembly (AGM) held on Saturday, 16th September at Jevine hotel in Kampala.

The 16th Ordinary AGM passed the budget subject to amendment by 21% increment.

The passed budget is bigger than last year’s by UGX. 38,000,000. UYFA operated with a tune of UGX 177,150,000 in the concluded financial year.

The biggest percentage of the association’s income is expected to come from corporate sponsorships, FUFA FAP and members.

Competition are to take the lion’s share of this year’s budget with a tune of 42%.

At same AGM, 20 new members were approved whilst 19 saw dismissal for failure to fulfill their obligations to the mother bodies.

The 19 culprits suspended included Entebbe Pro, Sumba Football Academy, Ascent Soccer Academy, Pearl Soccer Academy, Kakiri, Kakiri EX-Players Soccer Academy, Fispa Masaka, Star Kids Uganda, Yardim, Global Youth Soccer Academy, Eagles Soccer Academy, Eastern Talent Soccer Academy, Ishaka Ruins, Carthage ABC, Pro Soccer Academy, Naiga Soccer Academy, Calvary, Re-raise a child, Excellent Soccer Academy, Swangz Soccer Academy and Giants Football Academy.

These suspended academies are however given chance to reorganize themselves to apply and register again to be incorporated as fully recognized members.

The same AGM also agreed to send official written last warnings to the following academies for failure to fulfill their obligations;

Buddo, KAFA, Lion of Juda, Naguru Police Kids, Kijabijo Devine, Rapha, J-Life, St. Mary’s Kitende, Streamline, Mityana, Edgars Youth Program, Exell, Ball Line, Tik, Motherwell, GK, City Soccer Academy, Tott, Everton Uganda, Pesti, Peasant, Yes, Kona Abical, Mbarara, Holland, West Nile, Suubi Soccer Academy, Elite, Radiant Hope, KJL, Toto, Wakiso, Summer Kids, MYDEL, XEON, Next Generation, and Minerals Soccer Academy.
