Express FC duo, that is, the on form forward Eric Kambale and tactician Wasswa Bbosa have this morning been crowned the Pilsner Uganda Premier league awards for the month of May.
The development came this Monday morning, the 13th June in an event at the Kati Kati Restaurant in Kampala.
The two bagged 1,000,000 million each courtesy of Pilsner who are the official sponsors of the awards.
To win the award, Kambale outs hadowed URA FC striker Steven Dese Mukwala and Wakiso Giants forward Viane Sekajungo for the player of the month
He (Kambale) netted eight (8) goals in five UPL games and one Uganda Cup fixture against KCCA FC.
His goals came with a hat-trick against Kyetume in Nakisunga, a brace against Kitara and a goal each against UPDF, Busoga United and Police, a feat that also helped him win the Fortbet Real Stars Award as May’s best in the football category.
In the coaches category, Wasswa Bbosa beat URA’s Sam Simbwa and Wakiso Giants’ Douglas Bamweyana for the best coach of the month of May.
Express FC under Bbosa climbed to the top of StarTimes Uganda Premier League table after a sublime run that saw them win five games in May.
