UPL: Express FC resumes training ahead of epic second round

After a six day break since their last first round tie against Police FC which they won 1-0 at Omondi Stadium in Lugogo, Express FC resumed training on Monday 22nd ahead of the final bend of the league.

The Uganda Premier league final bend will get underway on 31st March with match-day 16 which run to 3rd April 2021.

Express FC head coach Wasswa Bbosa revealed his team’s preparation at the resumption of training ahead of the club’s Uganda Premier league second round set to start 3rd April 2021 against the on form tax collectors.
“I would like to confirm that our squad resumed training today (Monday 22nd March) after a six day break.
We have a tough second round coming up and we have to start preparations.” Partly reads the statement on Express FC digital communication platforms.

Express FC tactician Wasswa Bbosa also highlighted the injury status of his players and confirmed only two who are still sidelined.
“Apart from George Senkaaba and Arthur Kiggunddu who are still nursing injuries along with Murushid Juuko who is in camp with the Cranes, the rest are fit and available.” Added Wasswa Bbosa.

The Red Eagles who sit 3rd climaxed the first round on high with a 1-0 away win against the Cops, thanks to Eric Kambale’s late minutes header.
Mukwano Gwa’bangi managed nine wins, five draws and a loss to accumulate 32 points.
They face URA FC who won five of their final first round games on 3rd April at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.

URA FC occupy the Uganda Premier league table summit with 36 points, three more than second placed Vipers SC club who are at 33.
