The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) National Ball Games II U14 football CAF Schools championship has kicked off in Tororo, with top teams showcasing their skills and talent.

The tournament, which features 11 teams divided into two groups, promises to be an exciting celebration of young football talent in Uganda.

Kitende, Amus and Buddo SS Register Convincing Wins
Defending champions St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School-Kitende got off to a flying start with a 2-0 win over Standard High School Ndejje.

Prolific forward Kassim Wenaan scored a brace for Kitende, demonstrating his skill and determination on the field.

Meanwhile, title contenders Buddo SS registered an emphatic 3-0 win over Jinja College School, with Swaburu Mpomba, Shafick Kitimbo, and Owen Mukisa scoring for the team.

Other Matches
In other matches, Amus College beat Kakungulu Memorial 2-0, with Amiri Waisswa and Aaron Sserumu scoring for the Kacumbala-based side.

God’s Way High School and MT St Henry’s High School played out a goalless draw, while Lubiri SS and St. Mary’s College Lugazi also drew 0-0.

Tomorrow’s Fixtures
The tournament will continue tomorrow with five exciting fixtures, including:

1. Kakungulu Vs Kitende
2. Mt St Henry’s Vs Standard High Ndejje
3. Amus College Vs God’s Way
4. Lubiri SS Vs Buddo SS
5. St. Mary’s College Lugazi Vs Bukedea Comprehensive Girls

The championship will climax on July 19th in Tororo, with the top teams competing for the coveted title and the chance to represent Uganda in the CAF Schools tournament.
