Kampala University 3-0 ISBAT University

Two time champions Kampala University (KU) have one foot into the knockout stage after a comfortable 3-0 win over International Science, Business And Technology (ISBAT).

The Pepsi University League game was held on Saturday, the 21st October 2023 at Luzira Prison grounds.

Benjamin Nsubuga, Raymond Kiweewa and Emmanuel Wabomba were on target for KU.

ISBAT are still on hunt for their first point in the league. The new entrants have lost all their three games this season.

The newbies lost 3-1 in opener against Bishop Stuart University in Mbarara, 2-0 against Kampala University at home in Buwambo.

Too early into the game, Benjamin Nsubuga put KU into the lead in nine (9) minutes.

After 31, Raymond Kiweewa netted the second in the 40th minute of the game converted from a penalty mark.

Emmanuel Wabomba sealed the 3-0 win with a third in the 83rd minute to clear KU knockout chances.

Kampala University moved to nine points at the top of group F. They will need on one point on road to Western Uganda against Bishop Stuart University to secure a slot in quarters of the 11th edition.

The league resumes this Sunday as Nkumba University  host International University of East Africa at Nkumba.
