KCCA FC head coach Morley Byekwaso claims that his side has got enough experience to pick maximum points against Wakiso Giants.

KCCA FC will kick off the 2021/22 season against Wakiso Giants at Kabaka Kyabagu Stadium on Sunday October 17th.

“We have had a very good pre season. The players have worked really hard and they know the objectives of the club going into the first game of the season.”

“The game against Wakiso will be tough but we think we have enough experience to get us the result in the game,” Byekwaso said.

KCCA FC and Wakiso Giants have met twice in history with KCCA FC picking one win and a draw against the purple sharks.

KCCA FC’s New signings Emmanuel Wasswa and Brian Kayanja are ruled out of this game. The pair is undergoing rehabilitation from knee surgery and out due to a knee injury respectively.

Defenders Musa Ramathan and Fans player of the season 2020/21 Peter Magambo are also ruled out due to injuries.

The club’s top scorer for 2020/21 season Charles Lwanga returned to light training this week but this fixture comes a little bit early for him.

“It is unfortunate that we shall not have Emma Wasswa, Brian Kayanja, Musa Ramathan, Peter Magambo and Charles Lwanga. The rest of the players, 27 of them are up for selection,” he added

Meanwhile, John Revita has returned from injury, he has been out of action since 30th January 2020 and will make the match day squad for a league game for the first time in one year and nine months.

Elsewhere, Polic FC will take on Vipers SC on Sunday while new comers Gaddafi will lock horns with Busoga United on Monday October 18th.
