After two trophy-less campaigns, KCCA FC have today embarked on their return to glory with a convincing 3-0 win over Wakiso Giants in their 2021/22 league opener.

The game was played on Sunday the 16th October 2021 at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso, a home to Wakiso Giants.

Goals from young star Sadat Anaku, lanky talisman Davis Kasirye and midfielder Ashiraf Mugume earned the “Kasasiro Boys” a comfortable win on the road.

Just 6 minutes into the game, Sadat Anaku sent KCCA FC into the lead before Davis Kasirye made it 2-0 for KCCA after collecting a long ball from Iguma that beat goalie Samson Kirya for a simple tap in to confirm a 2-0 lead by halftime.

Towards the end of the first stanza, KCCA FC was on receiving ends as the Purple Sharks looked better upfront.

40 minutes in the game, goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan denied Frank Ssebufu during a one against one incident before he made another save off Ivan Bogere from close range.

At the beginning of the final half, Ashraf Mugume extended KCCA FC’s comfortable lead to 3-0 just within the first 8 minutes into the second half

The second half produced less attack from both sides and KCCA FC looked contented for the result to reserve energies.

This becomes the third win for the Kasasiro Boys against Wakiso Giants in four competitive meeting as the other ended in a 1-all draw.

In their next engagement, Wakiso Giants will face Vipers SC at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende whilst KCCA FC will host newbies Gadafi at Philip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
