The 2021/22 StarTimes Uganda Premier League will officially kick off on Friday 15th October with three games at three different venues.

Mbarara City at the Kakyeka Stadium will take on Soltilo Bright Stars with both sides targeting three points from this game.

Soltilo Bright Stars aims at starting this season on high note after boosting their squad with 13 new signings like Nelson Senkatuka, Ivan Irinimbabazi, Dennis Kaka Omony, Derrick Emmanuel Were.

Others include Frank Mulindwa, Matthias Lothar Okwalinga, Richard Luyima, Hassan Matovu, Issa Bugembe, Shamuran Kamya, Kushida Kazuto, Fiat Cleophas and Medi Kyeyune.

This will be the ninth time when the two sides meet, in the previous eight meetings, Bright Stars won three times, Mbarara City have won two and they drew three times.

Elsewhere at Ababet Greenlight Stadium, Onduparaka FC will host UPDF FC.

Onduparaka enter this game after confirming Shaban Muhammad’s signing.

This will be the sixth meeting between the two sides, previously Onduparaka won four and drew on in the five meetings they had.
