Stanbic Uganda Cup semis dates set, format changed
The Federation of Uganda Football Associations(FUFA) has decided to resolve the semifinals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup by setting it as a single leg instead of the usual double-legged affairs.
Semi finals of the competition will be played on September 21st and 22nd respectively as Police FC will take on Vipers while BUL FC will lock horns with Express FC respectively at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
“FUFA has resolved to have the Semifinals of the 2020/21 Stanbic Uganda Cup played on a one-legged basis.”
“The new dates are as 21st/09/2021 – Police FC vs Vipers SC 22nd/09/2021 – BUL FC vs Express FC. Final will be played on 26th/09/2021. All the games will be played at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru,” Fufa posted on their social media platforms
The competition had been forced to a halt after the government announcing total lockdown due to a surge in the number of Covid-19 cases in May.
Express, together with KCCA FC are the record holders with 10 trophies. Big league outfit Proline FC are the defending champions having won it in 2019.
