Prosper Soccer Academy officially launched

A new soccer academy under the push of players’ agent Denis Prosper Namanya has been officially launched on Saturday 1st May 2021 at City High School in Kampala.
Soccer Academy director Denis Namanya said, “This academy was started in 2019. Our home has initially been in Kyebando. We intend to instill football skills but mostly emphasizing God fearing and education aspects of life.
Our motive is to have all the best talent. We started with kids in Kyebando and Kamwokya and we are now expanding our reach to different areas of the country.
We are here to nurture and develop players for professional and national teams. The good technical staff and management will make our dream come true.”

Prosper Soccer Academy was founded in 2019 and it is based in Lugogo, a Kampala suburb operating every Saturday and Sunday from nine o’clock to mid-day at City High School.

The kids at the academy are currently under the guidance of one of the most experienced youths coach Ronald Ssali and Allan Nsubuga who are assisted by Jessy Lukoki, Frank Mulindwa, Kityo Eric and Kabogoza (Doctor).

Renown sports journalist Peter Tabu and Kiyaga Shafiq are managers and assistants of the academy respectively.

Denis Namanya is also the proprietor of Prosper Sports Agency which manages a host of youthful and exposed players.


They include U20 (CUBs) skipper Gavin Kizito Mugweri, Gofin Oyirwoth (SC Villa), Nicholas Kabonge (SC Villa), Davis Ssekajja (Bright Stars), Duncan Sseninde, Frank Tumwesigye Zaga (both from Police) among others.

The chief guest was Wakiso Giants CEO Hassan Lule who was in attendance accompanied by the U17 women football national Captain Juliet Nalukenge, former Maroons, Onduparaka and Nyamityobora tactician Asaph Mwebaze among others.
