Onduparaka FC embarks on survival fight with a win against Gadaffi FC

West Nile sleeping giants Onduparaka FC beat Jinja based Gaddafi 2-1 returned to winning ways as their relegation survival fight continues.

Rashid Okocha and Ezra Bida scored for Onduparaka FC whilst Steven Munguchi was on target for Wasswa Bbosa’s Gadaffi FC.

In the 15th minute, Ezra Bida sent Onduparaka FC into the lead with a close range strike before Steven Munguchi levelled matters for visitors.

Steven Munguchi came on as a substitute to replace midfielder Mahad Yahaya Kakooza.

Late into the game, Rashid Okocha scored for Onduparaka to separate the two sides. The victory brings hope to the West Nile power after a long run of poor results.

The caterpillars currently sit at the table bottom with 10 points. They would target to build on the win to rebuild their survival hope.

The loss leaves Gaddafi FC in the eighth position with 22 points after 16 games played.

Onduparaka will be in action on 31st March away to Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku while Gadaffi face off with Express FC for their match-day 19 before entertaining BUL FC in Match-day 20 in the Jinja derby.
