Misconduct: Maroons FC suspends ten players for a week
Ten players have been suspended by Uganda Premier League side Maroons FC for one week after failing to turn up for the team’s meeting that was held on Monday 3rd January 2023. Ten players have been suspended by Uganda Premier League side Maroons FC for one week after failing to turn up for the team’s meeting that was held on Monday 3rd January 2023.

First choice goalkeeper Simon Tamale, Amir Nalugoda, Solomon Walusimbi, Abraham Tusubira and Andrew Kigozi Samson are some of the players suspended.

The others are Hadadi Kambuugu, Sula Mpanga, Brian Nkuubi, Patrick Bayiga and Belmos Opio.

“We therefore inform you that they have been suspended from the club’s activities for a period of 1 week effective the date of the resumption of training “

“Further disciplinary measures may be instituted as per the club Ethics and Code of Conduct, We emphasize strict adherence to team programs and rules for the betterment of our club.”

The suspended players did not give any reason to the club administrators for their failure not attend the said meeting

Maroons training in preparation of the second round starts on Monday 9th January.

They will visit Busoga United in their first game of the second round on Friday 10th February 2023 at Kakindu Stadium .
