Shortly after being sacked by Kyetume, Charles Livingstone Mbabazi is has signed a two year deal with Mbarara City football club.

Mbabazi’s remarkable return to Mbarara City as their head coach will see him replace Brian Ssenyondo who was set aside by the club authority in February.

Since then, Sadiq Ssempigi has been in charge of the team on a caretaker role. It’s not yet confirmed if Ssempigi will stay as Mbabazi’s assistant.
Mbabazi is expected to officially take over Mbarara on Thursday in his first game on return against Vipers SC at Kakyeka Stadium on Saturday.

The former Onduparaka tactician has a task to rejuvenate glory at Mbarara City who sit 13th in the StarTimes Uganda Premier league after 11 games.
