Striker Patrick Kaddu scored from the spot as Uganda Cranes played to a one-all stalemate with Iceland in a friendly match played in Antalya, Turkey on Wednesday.

Jón Daði Böðvarsson who plays for English Championship side Millwall had scored Iceland’s opener in the sixth minute after a good assist from Viðar Ari Jónsson.

Milton Karisa beat his mark with pace who brought him down in the box for the referee to point to the spot.

Kaddu stood up and converted from the spot at the half-hour mark to make it 1-1.

Next for Uganda is another friendly against Botosani (Romania Club) in the second of the three matches to be played in Turkey. The other friendly will be against Moldova.

The other two matches are against Iraq in Baghdad and Bahrain in Bahrain city.
