Ibrahim Mounkoro saves a penalty as 10-man Mali win against Tunisia

Mali beat Tunisia 1-0 at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in a Group F game which ended in controversy.

There were dark scenes at the end of the game between Africa giants Mali and Tunisia as the Carthage Eagles coach Mondher Kebaier and his technical staff rushed onto the field at referee Janny Sikazwe failed to add any injury time.

Ibrahima Kone’s penalty won it all, with Mali keeper Ibrahim Mounkoro later saving a spot-kick from Wahbi Khazri.

Ibrahima Kone netted Mali’s winner three minutes into the second half to ensure his side’s maximum points.

However, the match winning magic came through custodian Ibrahim Mounkoro who saved a Whbi Khazri penalty to deny Tunisians.

After Mounkoro’s magical dive to his right to push away Khazri’s well-struck penalty, his side faced a setback with a red card to substitute El Bilal Toure late on.
