Entebbe UPPC clinch a deserved victory over BUL
Under the bright evening sun rays at FUFA Technical Centre on Thursday evening, Entebbe UPPC earned a well‑deserved 2‑0 triumph in the Uganda Premier League.
The difference maker was Ambrose Kigozi, whose brace sealed the maximum points for the visitors.
BUL started brightly, with Bakali Mugunda and Karim Ndugwa seeing early attempts drift narrowly wide.
Denis Sewagudde’s measured cross almost found a grateful head in Mugulusi Ibrahim Mugulusi, who missed by inches in the 12th minute.
UPPC goalkeeper Rogers Omedwa also rose to the occasion, denying Reagan Kalyowa with a fine save in the 29th minute.
The breakthrough arrived two minutes into the second half when Kigozi, benefiting from a fluid move, fired the visitors ahead, leaving BUL’s defense stranded.
He doubled the lead in the 55th minute, cementing UPPC’s growing rhythm and confidence.
The result lifts Entebbe UPPC to fifth place with 13 points, while BUL drop to eighth, holding 10 points after eight matches.
Abbey Kikomeko’s position now hangs in the balance following back‑to‑back defeats to Kitara and UPPC.
