Vipers SC clinch convincing triumph over Express
Wednesday night at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, Vipers SC turned relentless intent into a well‑deserved 3‑0 victory in the Uganda Premier League.
From the opening whistle the hosts pressed high, though early chances evaporated.
Alfred Mudekereza thwarted Mikidadi Ssenyonga’s curling free‑kick in the ninth minute, and five minutes later Muhamed Ssenoga’s header flew just wide after John Asiimwe’s delightful left‑flank delivery.
At the 30‑minute mark Usama Arafat’s thunderous strike forced keeper Ali Mwirusi to tip it for a corner.

The deadlock cracked in the 38th minute when Enock Ssebagala pounced at point‑blank range, punishing Express for failing to clear their own area.
A Richard Bsagwa volley struck the crossbar just before halftime, denying the host an equaliser.
In the second half Vipers sharpened their edge.
Allan Okello, set up by a defence‑splitting pass from Usama, doubled the lead with a sweet finish in the 66th minute.
Three minutes later Isaac Ogwang powered home from close range after Okello’s assist, completing the scoring.
The win propels Vipers to fourth place with 12 points from four games, while Express drop to 10th with nine points after eight matches.
