Uganda Cranes Striker Emmanuel Okwi has tested positive for Covid19, it has been confirmed by his current employers Al – Ittihad.

Emmanuel Okwi will be out of Al-Ittihad tie against Pyramids FC, today in the Egyptian Premier League after testing positive for COVID-19.

Al-Ittihad  confirmed the news through its official communication channels as the statement reads. “The return of Ugandan striker Emmanuel Okwi has been postponed after he was infected with the Coronavirus.”

“Results of the Corona virus detection test conducted by Ugandan professional player Emmanuel Okwi of Al Ittihad Club of Alexandria before leaving his country showed that the player was infected and tested positive.

“And the player had taken this followed test in preparation for returning again and joining the ranks of the team for training and matches, but the test positive postponed his return to a later unit.”
