Uganda Cranes skipper Emmanuel Okwi has joined Rwanda Premier League (RPL) side Kiyovu Sports Club as per the reports by Sports Pearl.

Okwi is said to have completed negotiations with Kiyovu and he is expected to be unveiled as their player, soon.

It is understood that he has signed a one-year deal with the club and joins them as a free agent following his release from Egyptian side Al Ittihad in June.

He has also previously featured for Yanga Africans, Etoil du Sahel, SC Villa and SonderjyskE in Denmark.

The striker becomes the third Uganda to move to the RPL this off-season following into the footsteps of forward Ben Ocen and goalkeeper Nicholas Ssebwato.
