Cranes completes first week of training on a high note

The Uganda Cranes team have completed their first week of training on high note as the technical team was left impressed.

On Sunday, 22nd August 2021, this team of 30 players concluded the 9th training session at the Kabira Country Hotel, in Bukoto, Kampala.

These sessions have been comprised of gym work-outs and on-field training sessions at three various grounds; Lugogo, African Bible University and Kabira Country Resort Hotel in Bukoto.

The technical team has been largely impressed by the stead-fast progress of the players whose fitness levels have improved for the better.

Assistant coach Moses Basena revealed that the first week of training has helped the technical team assess every player on the team and going forward, they will intensify the training as a way of fine-tuning the team.

“We have had these players for now a week and a lot has improved,” Basena said.

“As we get closer to the international build up matches and the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, we shall handle the details,” he added.

Head coach Milutin Sredojevic held a theory session on Sunday morning with various demonstrations to the players at the team hotel.

On Monday, 23rd August 2021, the training programme continues as the team gets set to depart the country for the build up ahead of the Kenya clash.
