AFCON U-20: Hippos beat Bul FC for the second time in a trial match

As preparations for the 2023 U20 Africa Cup of Nations set for February in Egypt, for the second time Uganda Hippos have beaten Bul FC 2-0 in another friendly match.

Patrick Kakande and Rodgers Mugisha scored for the Hippos in their 2-0 victory in a friendly against BUL FC at FUFA Technical Center Njeru.

Jackson Mayanja the Uganda Hippos head coach is convinced with his side’s performance.

“It was a very tough game and really portrays how these boys have been working so hard and victory against BUL FC which is among the teams leading the Uganda Premier League table is great.”

“We played different teams in each half in order to see their abilities. The boys have won all the four friendly games and as a manager I  feel so good.

The players have power and strength we have to only work on the a few things but the team is already getting in the tournament mood.” Mayanja added.

The Hippos are in preparation for the 2023 AFCON U-20 tournament that will be played in Egypt starting on 19th February and end on 11th  March in the cities of Cairo, Ismaillia and Alexandria.
