Stanbic Uganda Cup: Holders BUL FC labor past Buganda region minnows Sparks FC

The Stanbic Uganda Cup holders BUL Football Club became the first UPL side to progress to the round of 32 of the 49th edition.

BUL FC struggled to eliminate Buganda regional league debutantes Sparks Soccer Club by 1-0.

Hillary Onek’s 51st minute strike was the evening’s difference to help Bul FC to advance to round of 32.

In another game of the day Ntinda United lost to FUFA Big League Ndejje University 3-0 at Kampala Quality grounds.

Nsale Wasswa scored twice in the 1st and 2nd minute of the game for Ndejje University before Brian Obedi making it 3-1 in the ninth minute.

Ndejje University became the second Big League side to progress after Kitara FC.

BUL FC and Ndejje University join Kitara FC, Admin FC, Pajule Lions, Blue Stars FC, Junior Eagles FC and Admin FC at the round of 32.
