Former Maroons FC Head coach Asaph Mwebaze has officially been unveiled in the same role at newly promoted FUFA Big League side Mbale Heroes.

He replaces Abbey Kikomeko Capelo who is currently with top tier side BUL FC.

The Surgeons confirmed on their social media handles the appointment of Asaph Mwebaze on Friday, 15th September 2023.

“We are absolutely delighted to introduce our new coach, Asaph Mwebaze, who will steer our team towards unprecedented success.”

“We eagerly anticipate an exhilarating journey marked by unwavering commitment, seamless teamwork, and a string of triumphs.”

“Asaph brings a wealth of experience to our side, having led Bright Stars to the Uganda Cup semi-finals and a commendable ninth-place finish in the Uganda Super League last season. Prior to that, he achieved remarkable success with Maroons Football Club, guiding them to the Super League on multiple occasions.”

Mbale Heroes will take on Kataka in their first FUFA Big League game on Tuesday 26th September at Mbale Municipal Stadium.
