Ugandan female footballers Sheebah Zalwango and Gloria Namugerwa have officially joined Congolese Women champions FCF Amani.

The duo joined the Kinshasa based club on respective two year contracts.

Namugerwa, a defender who has previously featured for the national U17 and U20 team, was the captain of Uganda Martyrs HS during last season’s FUFA Women’s Super League.

Upon the completion of the season, Namugerwa moved to Lady Doves and was part of the squad that took part in the inaugural CECAFA Zonal qualifiers for the CAF Champions League held in Nairobi, Kenya.

Her compatriot Zalwango is a Crested Cranes midfielder who has been playing for Asubo Gafford Ladies in the FUFA Women Elite League.

Zalwango made her Crested Cranes debut last year during the COSAFA Championship held in South Africa.

She was also part of the team that eliminated Ethiopia in the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations qualifiers and notably set up Fauzia Najjemba for Uganda’s second goal in the first leg at Kitende.
