Former Super Eagles striker Daniel Amokachi has taken a swipe at Ghana over the country’s inability to confirm a venue for the first leg of the 2022 World Cup playoff.

Ghana host Nigeria in the first leg of this crucial tie at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Friday March 25, 2022.

The pitch at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium is currently under maintenance after the pitch was damaged after the Independence Day celebration.

According to reports, Ghana’s game against Nigeria is likely be moved to a neutral venue following reports of the Cape Coast Sports Stadium pitch damaged after the Independence day celebration.

Nigeria is reported to have petitioned CAF over the pitch after pictures of it emerged online.

CAF officials are currently in Ghana to ascertain whether the pitch would be ready to host the two West Africa giants on March 25.

A communication is yet to be announced after the inspection on whether the game will be held at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium or the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Former Nigerian striker Daniel Amokachi in a post has teased Ghana on the readiness of the Nigerians who host the Black Stars in the second leg to at the Mashood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on March 29, 2022.

Ghana will play a two-legged encounter against Nigeria this month with the winner securing one of the five slots on the African continent.
