The line-up of teams to play in the quarter-finals of the 2022 TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations was confirmed on Sunday following the conclusion of the group phase of the competition in Morocco.

Title holders Nigeria will play their arch-rivals Cameroon at Stade Mohamed V Stadium in Casablanca on Thursday after the Super Falcons finished second in Group C following their 4-0 win over Burundi on Sunday.

Thursday’s other match will see Group C winners South Africa taking on Tunisia at Stade Prince Moulay Al Hassan in Rabat.

Botswana, the team that clinched one of the two slots reserved for the two best third placed teams, will take on hosts Morocco in Rabat on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Zambia will take on Senegal at the Stade Mohamed V in Casablanca in the first game of Wednesday.

Winners of the quarter-final matches will secure qualification to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Two losers of the quarter-finals will have another chance to secure qualification as they will be engaged in inter-continental playoffs.
