Uganda’s Boxing team sweeps medals at Africa Zone 3 Elite Boxing Championship
Uganda’s boxing team has emerged as a powerhouse in East and Central Africa, dominating the Africa Zone 3 Elite Boxing Championship in Nairobi.

Despite working under the worst circumstances due to underfunding, the team finished at the top of the medal table, winning five gold medals, four silver medals, and six bronze medals.
Fully funded by the Uganda Boxing Federation boss Moses Muhangi, the team endured a long road journey to Nairobi.

However, their determination, skill and hard work finally paid off.
The team’s success is a testament to the growing dominance of Ugandan boxing in the region and the investment in elite boxing programs by Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF).
With 15 medals, Uganda has reinforced its position as a top boxing nation in East and Central Africa.
