Uganda U20 Kabaddi National Team intensifies preps ahead of 2023 World Cup tournament

Uganda U20 National Kabaddi team (The Gladiators) is set to play at the Kabaddi Junior World Cup scheduled for 28th February to 5th March in Tehran, Iran.

This will be the second appearance for Uganda Gladiators at the youth pinnacle event with their ever first time coming way back in 2019.

Currently, the youth side is in a residential training camp at Matugga Kabaddi Ground as preparations for World Cup intensify.

A total of eighteen (18) players are in training, from whom the final 12 man squad will be selected and announced on Tuesday 21st February 2023.

The team will fly out of the country a head of the tournament to Tehran on 26th February.

Uganda will have to pass hard tests from Nations like the sport fathers India, Pakistan, hosts Iran, Indonesia, South Korea, Poland, England, Nepal, Kenya, Takministan, and Iraq.
