The 2025 Uganda Primary Schools Sports Association (UPSSA) FEASSA Qualifiers came to a thrilling conclusion at Ndeeba Church of Uganda Grounds in Kayunga on Thursday, July 10th.

In a highly contested final, Rays of Grace Junior School emerged champions, securing a slim 1-0 victory over Namagabi UMEA.

A Nail-Biting Final

The all-important goal was scored by Hamis Nalapa, who powerfully headed home a well-taken corner by Denis Jose Nyombi in the second half.

This goal sealed the win for Rays of Grace, who finished the tournament unbeaten.

Road to the Final

Rays of Grace reached the final by easing past God’s Angel from Lugazi in a comfortable 2-0 semi-final victory.

Yowasi Maganda and Sulaiman Kaweesi scored for Rays of Grace in the semi-final duel.

In the quarter-finals, they won 5-4 on penalties against St. Mary’s Namasuba after a goalless draw.

FEASSA Qualification

The two finalists in boys’ football, Rays of Grace and Namagabi UMEA, qualified for the FEASSA Games to be held in Kakamega, Kenya in August.

In girls’ football, Oasis Primary School from Arua emerged champions and, along with runners-up Bweyogerere Church of Uganda, qualified for the FEASSA girls’ football championship.

Other Winners

In Netball, UWINSA was crowned champions, and along with Namagabi UMEA and UWYEFA, qualified for the FEASSA Netball championship.

In Volleyball Boys, St. Kizito Primary School Mbarara were crowned champions and will represent Uganda at the forthcoming FEASSA Games in Kakamega, Kenya.
