Following their 1-0 win against UPDF FC, Wakiso Giants make the long trip to Mbarara City at Kakyeka stadium on Friday.

The Purple Sharks come into the game on the back of a hard fought 1-0 win over UPDF FC last time out.

Meanwhile, the hosts came from two goals down to beat visiting Onduparaka 3-2.

According to Wakiso Giants FC head coach Alex Gitta, their major focus is picking three points on Friday.

“We expect a tough game but we have a plan on how to handle it so that we pick a positive result. We have a few injuries and suspensions but I believe in the players available to do the job,” Gitta said.

Edward Satulo and George Kaddu are two matches away from returning to the team from suspension.

Rahmat Ssenfuka is suspended after accumulating three bookings while Moses Aliro missed Wednesday training and remains a doubt for the game.

Fahad Kawooya has missed the previous two games through injury and remains doubtful for the trip to Mbarara City.

There have been four previous league meetings between the two sides where Wakiso Giants won two and Mbarara City won twice.

Wakiso Giants won last season’s corresponding fixture 1-0 courtesy of Kipson Atuheire debut goal.
