SUPL: Express FC targets first victory in five games as they take on KCCA FC in ‘Kampala Derby’

The StarTimes Express FC return to league action on Thursday when they host rivals KCCA FC in the Kampala derby at the Betway Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku.

The Red Eagles enter this game aiming to register their maiden victory in five games after failing to win in their previous four league games.

Express FC under the management of interim manager James Odoch are looking for their first win in their last three outings.

“We’re done with our last training ahead of our game against KCCA FC on Thursday, we’ve used this period to correct our mistakes which we had in our last game away against Busoga United FC.”

“KCCA FC are comfortable on the ball so we’ve worked more on the pressing because KCCA FC are good with the ball so I believe we’re ready to get maximum points,” Odoch said.

Midfielder Ivan Mayanja misses out after failing to recover from a cut on this heel. Arthur Kiggundu is back to full fitness and is available for selection.

Enock Walusimbi is back in contention after touring Spain with team fundi. Striker Erick Kambale returns ready to pick up from where he stopped.

The last 26 meetings between both sides have produced 12 draws while KCCA FC have managed ten wins compared to Express FC’s four.
