BUL FC head coach Alex Isabirye said that his side is this time well prepared to lock horns with the Uganda Premier league champions and this time not to participate but make history.

The Jinja based side will take on Vipers SC on Sunday June 12th at Booma Grounds in Masindi in the Stanbic Uganda Cup final.

Vipers demolished BUL FC 8-1 in the final of the previous edition played at the Njeru Technical centre in Njeru to win their third Stanbic Uganda Cup trophy while it was the first time BUL FC reached the final.

“Last year, we were not prepared enough to play against Vipers SC and that is why we lost,” Isabirye said before adding.

“This time we are ready for the game and I am not saying we are going to win or lose the game but we are learning our to compete. We are tied of participating and so we want to also make history.”

“I have no pressure, I know anything can happen on Sunday, so we are ready for the game. If we win the Cup we shall represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup.”

“I am a believer and I know we are going to win on Sunday and we shall represent the nation on the continent,” he added.

Vipers edged Mbarara City 6-1 on aggregate in the two legged semifinal of the competition to prevail to the final.

Meanwhile, BUL FC beat Region league side Booma on aggregate 6-1 in the semifinal to set up a repeat of last year’s final.
