Sande Yiga’s late goal was a turning point for Buwekula to bag all the three points against Kyaggwe in their opening Bulange group tie held on Tuesday, the 28th December 2020 at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.

It’s was a 1-all draw in the first 45 minutes of the as the two sides registered a 50-50 show.
Buwekula took an early lead when lanky forward Fahad Nsuki headed in a well laid Hussein Mwanjje’s cross from the right flank in the 13th minute of play.

Later in the 34th minute, Isaac Jangeyambe picked a rebounded Hussein Senoga’s ball from goalie Samuel Ssali to equalize for Kyaggwe.

Substitute Sande Yiga scored a late goal in the 89th minute to seal Buwekula’s 2-1 win to secure second position on the table.

Buwekula will seek for her second final after her first final appearance in 2012 against eventual champions Bulemezi. Yunus Ssentamu scored for Bulemezi to win the day by 1-0.

Kyaggwe’s best run was a semifinals.

Gerald Ogweti, Usama Arafat and Hamza Kalibwami each scored a brace and one by Malida Kuteesa as Busiro humbled Buvuma in the (Bulange) group opener.
The top two teams in this group will join defending champions Bulemezi and Mawogola who already qualified for quarterfinals from Butikiro group.
