Vipers SC head coach Robertinho Oliviera has been named Pilsner Coach of the Month after guiding the Venom to a perfect run in April.

Vipers won all five of our StarTimes Uganda Premier League games, scoring 12 and conceding just one, a run of form that saw them stretch their lead at the top of the table and eventually winning the championship with four games to spare.

Robertinho guided Vipers to five wins beating Mbarara City FC, URA FC, KCCA FC, Gaddafi FC and Express FC.

Robertinho believes the context in which the results were attained, makes the achievement even more notable.

“What this team achieved in April, winning all our games, and scoring 12 games is remarkable,” he said.

“This just shows how focused my players and staff are. They are incredible, and I am so proud to work alongside them.”

“Every single person involved deserves huge credit.”

Robertinho has now won three Pilsner Coach of the Month awards in total, with the first coming in December, March and April.

The Brazilian tactician beat Onduparaka’ Dudu Bosco and Soltilo Bright Stars’ Paul Kiwanuka to the award.

The Venoms are currently on a 17-game winning run in all competitions and are unbeaten in 20 matches, with their last defeat coming on January 4th, 2022 at Arua Hill SC.
