Hippos Contingent flies out for Mini Tournament in Tanzania

A squad of 33 players have this morning flown out to Tanzania for the U-20 AFCON pre-tourney.

Uganda Hippos will play against Tanzania and Namibia in a Mini Tournament set for 2nd-9th February before flying to Mauritania for the AFCON U20 Finals.

Uganda was thrown to Group A alongside Mozambique, Cameroon and host Mauritania in the 2021 AFCON finals.

In the opening match, Hippos face off with Mozambique on 15th, Cameroon in the second on 17th and finalize group games with the hosts Mauritania on 20th February 2021.

Uganda won the AFCON/CECAFA zonal qualifiers tournament beating hosts Tanzania in the finals.
